Exploring encryption and technologically-mediated intimate relationships through interactive user-experiences

Fabricated Intimacy addresses how dating apps influence the forming of technologically-mediated intimate relationships in a project exploring what decentralised organisational models bring to online dating cultures.

We worked closely with artist Marija Bozinovska Jones to visually explore topics of ‘technologically fabricated intimacy’ ranging from dating apps, gamification and blockchain technologies. The website features encrypted Easter eggs along with a collection of texts by authors such as Nick Srnicek, Sarah Friend and Rob Gallagher, among others.

The website was also featured as an installation at the Chronus Art Center in Shanghai.
